Effluent Impact Assessment

Scope of work

  • Site Assessment
  • Site Investigation
  • Remediation
  • Project Objective

The textile industry commonly uses treated effluent for irrigation, raising concerns about its impact on soil health, plant growth, and groundwater quality. Stratus was engaged to evaluate these effects.

    Sampling & Analysis

In collaboration with IIT Madras, soil borings and effluent samples were collected and analysed for metals, dye compounds, and other pollutants. The study aimed to identify long-term risks to agriculture and water resources.

    Findings & Recommendations

The assessment determined that certain effluent components exceeded safe limits, requiring improved treatment methods before reuse. Recommendations were provided to the facility for compliance improvements.
