Founded in 1999, Stratus is based in CameronPark, California, with supporting offices in Huntington Beach and Ventura, California and Chennai, India. We are aCalifornia Corporation and a Certified Small Business with 37 staff members.

Stratus recognizes that our employees are more than just company resources; they represent the backbone and strength of our firm. Our environmental staff consists of skilled professional engineers, professional geologists, certified engineering geologists, environmental scientists, and environmental technicians.
Many of our engineers, geologists, and technicians have over 20 years’ experience in the environmental industry and have been part of the Stratus team for over 15 years. Their extensive experience and knowledge add to our foundation of innovation and excellence.
Safety is also at the core of Stratus’ foundation and is a pride shared by our staff.
Our daily operations are supported by the experienced project managers in the industry. Stratus carefully matches new projects with the appropriate project manager based on the scope of work and each project manager's strengths and level of expertise. Each project manager is assigned a registered professional for senior level project review and oversight on every new and ongoing project. In addition, our experienced project managers provide a thorough review during each phase of work completed by their support staff.
Our assigned project managers meet weekly at scheduled project workload meetings to review the specifics of each project, workload and staffing resources, and critical deliverables and milestones.
Along with our comprehensive safety program, Stratus is committed to a rigorous document quality control process. Every technical document produced and distributed by Stratus goes through an extensive review process by senior management. A checklist is attached to each document ensuring multiple levels of review are conducted for each section or portion of the document and all data is verified. In addition, Stratus implements a dual-signature process in which every document is signed and certified by two professionals - either professional engineers, professional geologists, or certified engineering geologists.
